COVID-19 UPDATE

HI all,

Here is another update from Faith regarding Covid-19.

First, it was brought to my attention that some people think that they can put their facemasks in the microwave to sanitize them. DO NOT DO THIS. THEY WILL CATCH FIRE. There are metal pieces in most face masks that will cause a huge fire.  There are many different types of face masks. We do have some in stock that we are supplying to our cleaners. We also have disposable rubber gloves that are supplied to our cleaners in an effort to keep you and them safe.

Since the Covid-19 virus has been here, it has been determined that there is presently more than one strain. That might explain why people are having different experiences when they become sick. There are some new symptoms that have recently shown up. Some people are experiencing a rash. This appears to be frequently on the feet and hands and has been said to be similar to measles.  Most frequent symptoms are fever, tiredness and a dry cough but some people are also experiencing nasal congestion, runny nose, stomach issues, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell. If you notice these symptoms reach out to your doctor for further evaluation and testing for the virus. If you notice shortness of breath or persistent chest pain go to the Emergency Room.

It has recently been said that this is a “wimpy virus”. This means that washing your hands with soap and water for more than 20 seconds or using a hand sanitizer with more than 60 percent alcohol is one the best ways to protect yourself.

As I mentioned previously, we have been providing sanitization and disinfection for offices after someone has tested positive for Covid-19 or feels ill. We have some customers who have requested this service on a bi-weekly basis in offices where employees are still working as an attempt to prevent spreading of illness. We use EPA approved chemicals for this purpose. If you are interested in this service I am available to discuss your options.

Just so you know, I have proactively ordered toilet paper, hand towels, hand sanitizer, disinfectants, hand soaps and other items you may need. We are well stocked.

In an effort to keep abreast of new cleaning methods regarding Covid-19, I have been taking classes. In today’s webinar, there was a wonderful suggestion. They recommend that you put a table near the front door of your facility with a hand sanitizer on the wall, a bottle of wipes and a trashcan along with a sign saying Protect your health and the health of the occupants of this building. Please use sanitizer upon entering our building.

I have attached a sign that you could download for yourself. I would also recommend that you keep something similar near an elevator. I think once the buildings become back to normal, your customers will be looking for you to show that you care about their health and yours as well.

Stay safe and healthy.

Regards,

Faith
